Adam Shrider is the founder and lead instructor of Gatekeeper Defense Training LLC, a professional firearms education company serving responsible civilians and church safety teams across Central Florida. A USCCA-Certified Firearms Instructor with additional certifications in Countering the Mass Shooter Threat, Concealed Carry, and Home Defense, Adam brings a disciplined, no-nonsense approach to defensive shooting instruction. His training philosophy is rooted in the belief that marksmanship fundamentals — grip, trigger control, recoil management, sight tracking — are universal skills that translate across all firearms platforms and real-world scenarios. Adam's students come from a wide range of backgrounds: everyday concealed carriers, first-time gun owners, law enforcement officers, private security professionals, and faith-based safety volunteers. Whether working one-on-one in private sessions or leading structured group courses, Adam focuses on building automaticity in core shooting mechanics so that students can perform reliably under movement, time pressure, and stress. Beyond his technical credentials, Adam brings over 20 years of experience serving in church and ministry environments. He has worked major ministry events as part of organized safety teams, helped establish safety programs within congregations, and developed one of the few structured church safety team training curricula in Central Florida. Training is conducted at a private outdoor range in the Orlando/Lake Nona area, allowing for movement-based drills, positional shooting, and scenario work that indoor ranges simply cannot accommodate.
